It’s been a busy month this February, especially for Lou E. Loon, who’s logged more than a few miles on his wacky wings. Apart from the many appearances Lou E. does throughout the year, February brought the opportunity for Lou to share his enthusiasm for Valentine’s Day.
Usually February 14th in the Loons office is marked by Lou E. scattering little candy hearts all over our desks in the front office, which has become quite the issue, but this year he wanted to spread his love throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region with our brand new Loon-O-Grams!
Lou made his way through many businesses, schools, houses and kitchens, sharing Loon-O-Grams along the way. These Loon-O-Grams contained tickets to Great Lakes Loons Opening Day, a Loons baseball cap, and Chef Jenny’s sweets for your sweetie.
Here is Lou E. surprising little Emma at school in the middle of the day. With her Loon-O-Gram in hand, she helps mimic Lou’s enthusiasm for the photo. Emma was one of many children to receive a special surprise visit from Lou.
The fun didn’t end on Valentine’s Day for the baseball bird, because in the following weeks he got to travel to several area schools and introduce the brand new Lou E.’s Fit Club. By working with his friends at MidMichigan Health, Lou was able to turn his kids club into a Fit Club! Here he is demonstrating activities endorsed by the Fit Club.
As a part of the club, members can purchase Lou E.’s Activity Watch. The watch is synched with S2H technology and rewards points to kids based on their continuous activity. These points can later be redeemed for great Loons prizes like lunch with a Loons player, batting practice with the Loons, team-autographed baseballs, honorary first pitches, and much more.
As you can imagine, kids are super excited about joining the Fit Club. Interested parties can sign-up to be a Lou E’s Fit Club member for free at Dow Diamond and receive special newsletters about Lou E.’s latest shenanigans and activities. And finally, somewhere during the window of the month, Lou E. Loon stumbled across the mystery box, but he must have missed the opening orders.
