Back by popular demand is From the Nest‘s annual behind the scenes look at team picture day. After fans saw last year’s sneak preview, we wanted to verify that the 2011 crop of Loons players could also pretend to act orderly for the 10 minutes we needed them to. Did they? We’ll let you decide.
Much like the elementary school picture days that required Sunday’s best, so too was the Loons, in which we had them decked out in the Sunday reds. So classy.
The players would probably hate to admit it, but I think they genuinely enjoy the brief break from the normal routine. At least it seems that way considering how they laugh during the whole process.
These photos here show outfielder Nick Akins and athletic trainer Pete Houdek confused about where they should put their hands. Below, we ran into the problem again with pitcher Logan Bawcom, outfielder Roman Pena and catcher Steve Cilladi.
Rest assured we gave them proper direction as to where their hands should go (knees please) and the final product looks really slick. To get your hands on a 2011 Great Lakes Loons Team Photo simply attend the Loons game on Tuesday, May 24.
The team photo was snapped and designed by our always accommodating friends at 989 Design and are brought to you by ESPN 100.9-FM.
